Scream Inspired Nails

Happy Halloween!

I'm super excited to show you today's nails!
One of my most favourite movies ever is Scream! I remember watching it almost everyday when I was little. I own the DVD and if its on TV I'll most likely watch it lol! I just love it that much!

For my Halloween post today I tried my best at doing a Scream inspired design. I had originally planned on just doing the Scream mask faces (Ghostface) but then I thought about trying to paint some actual character faces from the movie! I painted Casey Becker on my index finger and Sidney Prescott on my ring finger. I didn't do that great on painting their faces but I did what I could and am happy with how they turned out :).

Below are the pictures that I found on Google that helped inspire my nails. I'm happy that I tried something out of my comfort zone and I really want to try improving on it. Overall I love Scream and my Scream inspired nails!

(The four pictures above were found on Google.)

I hope you liked these Scream inspired nails :) Thanks for stopping by!

Glowing Green Slime

Today I have an easy and fun nail design I recently did that I'm excited to show you!
While I was inspired over my Halloween slime nails I thought of doing a glowing slime design!! I also decided to try what I wanted to in that post and use a matte polish!

I started out by painting my nails with a matte black polish. Then I picked a medium green polish and used a dotting tool to create the slime drips. While I let that dry a bit I mixed 2 different glow polishes and then painted that over the green. After letting the slime dry I added a topcoat on the slime part and I was all done!

Then it was on to the fun part of going out in the sun to charge the glow polish on my nails!! Once again the pictures of the glow didn't come out too clear but you can still see how cool the glow was! I don't know if you can tell but the slime was slightly raised because of all the polish layers but it was cool looking in person.
I love these nails!! They look cool normally but the glowing makes them even better. They reminded me of the Nickelodeon slime nails I did a long time ago!

Skulls

Hello again!
I have cute skull nails to show you today!!! I've wanted to do these since last year! I remember getting the idea for these nails from paper plates I saw at the store :)
On the plates the design was just white but I wanted the skulls to look somewhat dirty. I started out by painting my nails white and sponging on a beige and brown polish randomly. That helped the base to look uneven and sort of old. for the eyes I just used three different sized dotting tools. I used a thin brush to paint on the nose, mouth, and some cracks.

Once I let it all dry for a while I added a matte topcoat to add to the old skull look. I really liked them and even did them on my cousin's nails! They were easy to do and didn't even take too long :)

Halloween Slime

Hi Hi! I have another Halloween post for you! For today I did a drippy black slime design. I got the idea while doing my mom's nails and liked how it turned out so I re did it for the blog!

I started out by painting my nails orange except for an accent nail that I painted black. Once it was dry I used a dotting tool and small brush to paint on the black slime for the orange nails. On the Black nail I painted on white slime then covered it up with orange so the color would show up nicely.

Finally after it all dried I added topcoat and was done!
I really love it! I also wanted to mention that I thought of making the slime of base color matte so there'd be a contrast but I liked it shiny so I didn't bother trying to change it.

I hope you liked these nails as much as I did! Check back in a few days for another Halloween design :)

Ghoulish Water Marble

Hi! I recently went to Walmart and wandered around the Halloween section when I spotted a display of nail stickers. There were all kinds of cool Halloween designs but only one caught my eye. It was a water marble design! I was tempted to buy them but full nail stickers never last me more than about 2 days. When I got home I decided to try out the design myself.

I picked out a black, green, and purple polish. The nail stickers used the same colors and I liked how they looked together. I did the usual setup for water marble. These pictured are my second attempt cause the first try was a bubbly mess.

(the black looks bubbly but it's just silver glitter that was in the polish)

It was late by the time I finished all the clean up and adding topcoat so I took some indoor pictures in case I accidentally ruined my nails before I could get good morning pictures. Anyway I went to sleep and woke up with sheet marks :/

I was going to add more topcoat and take pictures but I decided that I wanted to add a glitter topcoat instead. I just add a thin coat so I would still be able to see the water marble. I liked it :)
It was cool looking before and after the glitter so either way I was happy!

Textured Halloween Gradient

Hi!! I wanted to do another textured nail design since I'm still loving textured polishes. I decided to make it Halloween themed and have it be sort of a redo of a Halloween gradient I did last year.

This year I did the gradient with out using sponge a sponge. I just used the brushes from the two textured polishes I used. I chose a black with silver glitter and a dark pumpkin-y orange.

All I did was paint my nails one by one with the black polish half way down my nail then orange the rest of the way. I left the black edges jagged and filled in the gaps with the orange. Once my first coat dried I went over it all with a second coat or both colors, blending the orange and black so they'd mix in but keep the uneven shape. Once that dried my nails were done!

Little Vampires

Hello!
I've been wanting to do cute little vampire nails since last Halloween. I always plan out all kinds of designs and never get around to completing them all but this year I at least got this one done!

I started out by painting my nails black and letting them dry. Then I painted on white in 2 curves to create a widows peak for the hair. Once that dried I dotted on some eyes. I used a thin brush to make a little mouth and fangs. Finally I used a red to add some blood on the fangs :)

This was a quick and simple vampire. I liked it and think they look cute :) It can be done with no blood or just an accent nail or two. You could also change the eye colors up!! I love designs that can be changed up easily without too much extra effort.

The Nails Have Eyes

It's my favorite month and time for all the fun Halloween themed nails!! For today's post I have a sort of different take on some Halloween nails I did last year using googly eyes.

This year I decided to cover my nails in different sized googly eyes! I painted my nails in Halloween colors and let it dry for a bit before using a clear polish to stick on the eyes. Once I let the eyes dry for a while I just added some clear polish between all the spaces in the eyes to give them a bit more hold.

Sabrina's Nail Blog Halloween nail art Googly eyes Glow in the dark

I had only planned on doing one hand just for the blog but then I started wondering if a glow in the dark polish would look cool under the eyes. I painted my nails with a mix of my two favorite glow in the dark colors and the stuck the eyes on.

Once they dried and I held my nails under a bright light for a little bit they looked so cool!!

I can never get good glow in the dark pictures but these turned out the least blurry and captured the glow beneath the eyes!
