Textured Egg Nails

Happy Easter!
Hello!!  I have some fun Easter nails to show you! The first year I started my blog I did Easter Egg Nails and every year since then when I think of Easter nails I always think of those. This year I wanted to recreate them using textured polish. Nicole by OPI released some pretty, pastel textured polishes in the Roughles Collection and I was so happy to find them before Easter! When I first started seeing swatches of them I knew that they'd be perfect for the Easter nails I had in mind.

I started out by painting my nails different colors using creme polishes. When they dried I used Nail Vinyls in chevrons and straights to tape off the parts I wanted the base to show through. I painted on the textured polishes and removed the stickers. For a little extra I used a dotting tool to add different colored textured dots and stripes and I was done!

I really love how they turned out! The textured polishes made them even cuter than I imagined. I'm so happy that I actually decided to just go ahead and recreate my first years Easter nails.
Thanks for checking out this post! I hope you have a great day whether you'll be celebrating Easter or not :)

Glowing Laser Lace Nails

Hello! I have a new post for you today!! It's on some nails I did a few weeks back while playing around with some nail stuff. I ordered laser lace a really long time ago from Dollar Nail Art and never used it. While I was looking through my nail art stuff I saw it and decided to try it out. I already had my nails painted with Burning Orchid from Serum No. 5 so I just used clear polish to add it over.

It took some cutting and a bit of extra time to get it on but it wasn't too hard. There were some stray pieces of lace sticking out over the nail that I couldn't trim close enough but I thought it looked pretty. I added two coats of topcoat to smooth it out but I think it could have used another. I liked the final outcome but the best part was the glow!

Burning Orchid has a pretty purpley glow and it looked great with the laser lace over it! My camera freaked out a bit and wouldn't take a clear enough picture but you can kinda see how cool it looked together.

I hope you enjoyed this post and check back soon :)

Hello! I have a random but fun design to show you today! In February I bought a limited edition polish from Dollish Polish called This Sh** Is Bananas! It's a yellow holo with an awesome name that just makes me want to sing Hollaback Girl! I couldn't resist buying it just for the name lol! I also don't have enough yellow polishes either, so why not.

I hadn't got around to using it till today and this was the best picture I could get of the polish by itself that captures the holo. There wasn't much sunshine today :/

Before I even put the polish on I already had an idea in mind! I have a cheeky plate with an all over banana print and I couldn't pass up the chance to combine the two. I also decided to paint on two bananas just for an extra touch of potassium lol!!! (I couldn't help such a cheesy joke!)

I really really really like these banana nails! This Sh** Is Bananas is a great color too! Even though there wasn't much sun out today I could still see the holo but unfortunately my camera couldn't. Either way the polish and the bananas are fun :) Another great polish by Dollish Polish to add to my collection!

Way to Glow!

Hello! I have some pretty cool nails to share with you today! As we all know I love things that glow in the dark and cheesy blog titles (heehee) :) I have an untried glow polish that I've been wanting to use for a while now and I finally got to it.
I bought Pink Lantern from Serum No. 5 so many months ago and never used it but while organizing my polish I saw it and decided to try it out!

I painted my nails white and then went over it with painted Pink Lantern. While I love pink, I decided that I wanted to try adding another glow polish. I used striping tape to make lines on some of my nails and then painted a quick white base and then applied Day Glow over it. It turned out pretty cool!

It looked even better in the dark!!! They looked amazing! Serum No. 5 has the best glow polishes I've ever owned! They're always gorgeous looking in the day light and super fun and bright in the dark! I definitely recommend checking them out if you haven't already :)
